For the last two days I have been in Boulder, CO attending the Food and Light workshop, a two day, intensive photography workshop covering fundamentals, lighting, food styling and location shooting. Look for a complete post about the workshop and my time in Boulder in the next few days. And in the mean time, here are some photos from the workshop including my peas and cabbage photo (above) that was awarded “most creative” photo!
You can also check out the excellent and inspirational food blogs of all four of my instructors: Todd Porter and Diane Cu at White On Rice Couple, Matt Wright at Wrightfood, and Jen Yu at Use Real Butter. I learned from the best!

Karen, those are gorgeous! Your photographs were already really good, but I can see you got a lot out of the workshop. I can’t wait to read more about it. They are really, really beautiful.
Congratulations on your win!
Karen,
Congratulations. All three of these shots are great. I need to order some of those caramels, they were so good. Great meeting you at Food and Light. Looking forward to checking out more of your posts.
